REGIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (1999)
The RFL began in 1999 as a spring/summer league. The Mississippi Pride were based in Jackson and the Ohio Cannon were based in Toledo. They limped through an eight game schedule (except for the Cannon which only played seven games). The Admirals beat the Outlaws June 13th, in the first and only RFL Bowl. The league had zero media coverage and less business sense. Still, they planned to expand the following year, but became intimidated (if you can believe it) by the then upcoming XFL season, and folded.
There may have been some other helmet variations for these teams. Any information is greatly appreciated.
